Suyo

Suyo Modern Peruvian, located on Main Street in Vancouver, officially opened on August 25, 2022, founded by Chef/Partner Ricardo Valverde and his team. Named after a South American Indigenous word meaning "homeland," Suyo pays tribute to Chef Valverde's family background and cultural heritage, aiming to offer a unique modern Peruvian dining experience in Canada. Suyo's menu blends classic Peruvian flavors with global influences, including Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) and Chifa (Chinese-Peruvian) elements. Signature dishes feature various Ceviche, Tiradito, and Anticucho, as well as Arroz con Pato and Lomo Saltado. Since its opening, the restaurant has received numerous accolades, including a Michelin Guide recommendation, and won double gold for "Best New Restaurant" and "Best Latin American Restaurant" at the 2023 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. Its exceptional Bar Manager, Max Curzon-Price, also received the Michelin Guide Vancouver exceptional cocktail award in 2023.
