Chica's Chicken

A small counter serve specialist in Nashville hot chicken on Dundas Street West in Toronto, opened in 2018 by husband and wife Carolyn and Matt Pelechaty, with Matt as head chef and the name taken from their late dog Chica. The menu is deliberately short. Chicken goes through a two day dry brine and is finished with a proprietary spice blend that gives it the heat Nashville hot chicken is known for, and the kitchen is halal certified. It has held a Bib Gourmand in the MICHELIN Guide since 2022.
