Actinolite

A small restaurant on a residential stretch of Ossington Avenue in Toronto, named after chef Justin Cournoyer's hometown of Actinolite, Ontario, where he grew up hunting and foraging. The kitchen serves an evolving multi-course tasting menu built around peak seasonal organic produce, wild-caught seafood and responsibly raised animals from close relationships with local growers. Courses are often delivered and explained by the cooks themselves, and the house sourdough with yeast butter is a fixture. Actinolite is listed in the MICHELIN Guide Toronto.
