Naha Cafe

Naha Cafe, situated inside the Dragon City Mall in Calgary's Chinatown, Alberta, officially soft-opened in June 2026. This unique, independent establishment introduces an interactive dining experience inspired by Japan's Okinawa region. The cafe's menu highlights tropical açaí fruit bowls, Okinawa brown sugar lattes, specialty matcha and hojicha drinks, and savory Okinawa spam onigiri. Additionally, in collaboration with the team behind Monster Kakigori, it features crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside Japanese-style fried shokupan bread with premium toppings like matcha strawberry and crème brûlée. A distinctive hallmark of the cafe is its fun, interactive service, where ready orders are delivered to guests by a cute Shisa robot modeled after Okinawa's traditional guardian lion-dog.
