About
Paddler is a Thai boat noodle restaurant on Queen Street West in Parkdale, Toronto, specialising in Kuaytiaw Rua — a traditional Thai street food rarely found outside Thailand. Headed by chef Malatee, whose recipes draw from her mother's culinary traditions in Thailand, the restaurant has been featured by CBC News for its dedication to an authentic noodle format. The broth — crafted with pork or cow blood, dark soy sauce, coconut milk, and Thai herbs — is rich, complex, and deeply savoury. Alongside the signature boat noodles, the kitchen offers Prawn Pad Thai and the Hoi Tod Skillet, with desserts such as mango sticky rice. The cosy interior feels like stepping into a well-decorated home. Paddler is suited for adventurous diners in Toronto's Parkdale neighbourhood seeking an authentic Thai street-food experience.
