Matcha Tea Lab

Matcha Tea Lab is a specialty matcha-focused café located inside Crystal Mall at Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Founded by Burnaby local Cathy Lau and her childhood friend, the café officially opened its doors in February 2026. Inspired by their shared love for café hopping and a desire to bring a dedicated matcha experience to the local community, the co-founders designed the shop with a cozy, grab-and-go setup. It distinguishes itself as Burnaby's first no-tipping matcha specialty shop, focused on providing staff with a fair living wage while offering free oat milk substitutions.
