Conejo Negro

A restaurant on College Street in Toronto's Little Italy, open since November 2023 and owned by Diego Diaz, Lamine Martindale and Alycia Wahn, with Martindale managing and Wahn as head chef. The kitchen brings together Caribbean, Creole and Latin American flavours in generously portioned plates such as spiced firecracker shrimp, braised beef with cheddar grits, fried chicken with smoked hot honey, and collards with ham hocks. A backyard patio of wood planks and benches, warm light and greenery adds to the convivial mood. It was awarded a Bib Gourmand at the 2024 MICHELIN Guide Toronto ceremony.
