Cafe Belem

Cafe Belém is a European-style Portuguese bakery and cafe located at 546 College Street in Toronto's Little Italy. Opened in November 2024 by the father-son duo Carlos and William Oliveira, this independent establishment features an old-world Lisbon-inspired interior adorned with traditional mosaic tiles and vintage decor. The menu highlights authentic Portuguese baked goods, most notably the freshly baked pastéis de nata (custard tarts) with crispy pastry shells and rich custard centers. Other signature offerings include traditional Portuguese espresso beverages, tosta mista (pressed ham and cheese sandwiches), and pão de deus (coconut brioche buns).
