A small plates restaurant at 305 East Pender Street in Vancouver's Chinatown, opened in June 2020 by chef and owner Patrick Hennessy, who named it after his mother, the person who taught him to cook. Hennessy had worked at kitchens including Eleven Madison Park in New York before setting up a small self funded room of his own. Most guests sit at the L shaped chef's counter and watch each plate being finished, and the cooking leans on local and sustainable sourcing. Barbara holds one MICHELIN star.
