About
Takja, at 962 College Street in Toronto, is an upscale Korean barbecue restaurant that opened in April 2024. It was founded by chefs Edward Bang and Jeff Kang of Oroshi Fish Co. together with Jason Ching. Each booth has its own grill, yet the room stays smoke-free, and glass-walled cases display the meat. The signature Hansang menu brings chilled seafood, crispy haemul pajeon topped with caviar, banchan and quality cuts, some from Ontario and some dry-aged in house. Takja was listed in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Toronto & Region.
