Decades in, this quirky Vancouver Japanese charmer is still hard to book, thanks to quality fish at a very palatable price. Octopus décor fills every nook, and specials such as jellyfish in garlic ponzu and peanut tofu with brown sugar stand out, alongside playful maki like a tempura lobster and avocado roll, ever-changing nigiri and a fine collection of sake and spirits. It is a Recommended restaurant in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Vancouver.
