Le Virunga

Afro-Portuguese chef Maria-José de Frias named her restaurant after Virunga National Park in her home country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Québec produce meets sub-Saharan spices and ingredients such as yam, plantain, turmeric and manioc, as in msukumo wa kisiwa, beef blade roast cooked low and glazed with a curry and turmeric jus, while the chef's daughter Zoya hosts warmly and the wine list is exclusively South African. It is a Recommended restaurant in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Québec.
