Kavita

Kavita is at 250 West 3rd Avenue in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. Chef Tushar Tondvalkar named the restaurant after his mother, and the menu covers India's regional cuisines, reworking traditional dishes with seasonal local ingredients. Examples include saag paneer made with water buffalo milk from Abbotsford and foraged nettles, a Kerala-style coconut curry with Fraser Valley duck, and a chili, cheese and garlic naan finished with black garlic. There is also a creative cocktail list. Kavita received a Bib Gourmand in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Vancouver, and general manager Yash Shah won the MICHELIN Outstanding Service Award the same year.
