Garde Manger

A seafood restaurant on rue Saint-Francois-Xavier in Old Montreal, open since 2006 and run by Canadian chef Chuck Hughes with chef de cuisine Chris Merrick. Behind a discreet facade sit panelled ceilings, leather banquettes, bistro chairs and low light, with an open kitchen dividing two lively rooms and eighties and nineties music on the stereo. The menu turns on oysters, Nordic shrimp, razor clams and octopus served close to their purest form, with the jerk crab as the house signature, alongside tasting menus of four to seven courses. It is listed in the MICHELIN Guide for Quebec.
