Futura Granita + Gelato

Futura Granita + Gelato is an independent dessert shop located on St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto, Ontario. Founded by owners Lois and Carlo, who studied the science of frozen desserts at the Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologna, Italy, the shop opened its doors in 2019. The establishment specializes in traditional, scratch-made Sicilian granita alongside authentic Italian gelato, using natural and seasonal ingredients with a menu of weekly rotating flavors. While gelato is served throughout their operating season, their specialty Italian granita—crafted simply from fruit, water, and organic cane sugar—remains a signature highlight during the summer months.
