A restaurant outside Markdale in Grey County, Ontario, where chefs Joel Gray and Hannah Harradine welcome a small number of guests into their own home. Dishes come from an indoor kitchen and an outdoor barbecue, built around excellent local products, and the team carries every course to the table with the chef explaining many of them. Coal roasted beets with pickled pumpkin and pumpkin seed puree, and trout brined with spruce tips then slow smoked, quick seared and served with Ontario potatoes, fiddleheads and trout roe, show the register. It has been listed in the MICHELIN Guide for Toronto and region in successive years.
