Din Tai Fung, a world-renowned Taiwanese restaurant chain, was founded in Taipei, Taiwan in 1958. Originally operating as a cooking oil shop, it transitioned in 1972 into a full-fledged restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). The global brand has now expanded its footprint to downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, located on Alberni Street. The restaurant is celebrated for its signature Kurobuta pork Xiao Long Bao, cucumber salad, and chicken dumplings, all crafted to strict culinary standards. Over the decades, Din Tai Fung's international branches have achieved prominent recognition, including Michelin stars and being named among the world's top-notch tables by The New York Times.
