Chang'An

A Chinese restaurant on the False Creek waterfront in Vancouver, under the Granville Street Bridge, brought to the city by a Beijing restaurant group and devoted to the cooking of Shaanxi. Peking duck is the showpiece and must be ordered ahead by phone, arriving tableside with a flourish of flambeed rum before the crisp skin and meat are carved, with the remainder returning as soup or a peppery stir fry. The menu also runs to roast lamb and seafood dishes, and to satisfyingly chewy hand pulled biang biang noodles, served in a modern room with water views. It is listed as MICHELIN Selected.
