Ask for Luigi

A 32 seat Italian restaurant on the corner of Alexander and Gore in Vancouver, opened in November 2013 and run by the Kitchen Table Restaurants group. The name came from the idea of a local secret, go to the little Italian place on the corner and ask for Luigi. Chef and owner Jean-Christophe Poirier previously cooked at Toque! in Montreal, at Lumiere and at C Restaurant, and the kitchen is built around fresh handmade pasta. In its first year the restaurant took Restaurant of the Year, Best New Restaurant and Best Italian Casual at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards, and it is listed in the MICHELIN Guide Vancouver.
