Place Carmin

Place Carmin is an elegant French brasserie located at 740 rue William in Old Montreal, Quebec. Opened in 2021, the restaurant was founded by Mélanie Blanchette and Chef François Nadon, the acclaimed team behind Montreal's popular Bouillon Bilk and Cadet. Housed in a repurposed industrial building that formerly operated as Le Local, the space features a bright and airy dining room designed with skylights and spherical fixtures. The kitchen specializes in masterfully prepared French brasserie classics with creative touches, highlighting signature dishes such as a rich foie gras terrine, canard à l'orange, beef tartare, and a house specialty blood pudding Tatin. For dessert, local ingredients are celebrated through selections like a maple crème brûlée and a Paris-Brest with sea buckthorn fruit.
