Honeymoon Dessert, a well-known Hong Kong-style dessert chain, was founded in Hong Kong in 1995. With its origins as a small shop in Sai Kung, it has since grown into an international brand with numerous locations across Hong Kong and mainland China. The Markham flagship store, which opened in early 2020, marks its first venture into the Canadian market. This establishment specializes in classic Cantonese desserts, notably featuring fresh fruit creations like the popular Mango Sago, the signature Mango Pillow (mango crepe), and various durian-based treats. Beyond these fruit-centric options, Honeymoon Dessert also offers traditional sweet soups, milk puddings, and unique BongBong Eggettes (Hong Kong-style waffles). The Markham location is dedicated to using fresh, quality ingredients to deliver an authentic Hong Kong dessert experience, and has recently expanded its offerings to include savory cha chaan teng (Hong Kong cafe) items.
