Foxy

A restaurant on rue Notre-Dame Ouest in Montreal, open since 2015 and built around fire, with a wood burning oven and a live fire grill turning out plates meant for sharing from eco conscious ingredients. The style is rustic but carefully judged, often vegetable forward and Mediterranean in accent, in dishes such as maitake glazed with maple and black garlic, chargrilled Arctic char, and grass fed Angus beef with shallots and aioli. Service is young and professional, the room simple and warm. It is listed in the MICHELIN Guide for Quebec.
