Ferreira Café

A Portuguese restaurant on rue Peel in downtown Montreal, serving modern Portuguese cooking since 1996 in a warm, refined room that blends Portuguese touches with a cosmopolitan New York feel. Chef Natalia Machado Villaverde builds the menu around fish and seafood, from sardine fillets roasted with fleur de sel to a creamy seafood rice with scallops, prawns, squid, mussels and clams. The list runs to some four hundred references, predominantly Portuguese, with a notable selection of ports and rare spirits. It is listed in the MICHELIN Guide for Quebec.
