Chungchun Rice Dog is a Korean fast-food chain founded in Seoul, South Korea, in 2017, dedicated to promoting authentic Korean hot dog culture. The brand has over 200 locations worldwide and introduced its unique Korean rice hot dogs to the Canadian market in 2019, becoming the country's first Korean hot dog chain. The Chungchun Rice Dog branch located at 3250 Midland Avenue in Scarborough, Ontario, is renowned for its signature Korean rice hot dogs. These hot dogs feature a unique glutinous rice flour batter, made fresh daily and fermented for two hours, resulting in a crispy exterior and a delightfully chewy interior after frying. Popular menu items include the Gamsung Potato Hotdog (covered in crispy potato cubes), Ramen Chip Hotdog, and various cheese and sausage combinations. The restaurant also offers Korean fried chicken and other snacks. Chungchun Rice Dog officially partnered with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2024 as their official Korean Rice Dog, and also collaborated with the Toronto Raptors and Maple Leafs in 2022.
