Car's dessert

Car's Dessert is a Hong Kong-style dessert shop located in Richmond, BC, Canada, founded by head chef Jacky Lee and his wife Car Cheung. The name "Car's" is derived from his wife's English name and their children's names. Chef Jacky, with decades of experience, previously worked as a dim sum master chef in several Michelin-starred Chinese restaurants and the InterContinental Hotel in Hong Kong. After immigrating to Canada in 2015, Jacky and his wife established Car's Dessert in 2021 during the pandemic, initially operating via online pre-orders. They opened a physical store in Pacific Plaza in November of the same year and relocated to Unit 110, 4140 No. 3 Rd, Richmond in April 2024, now serving customers through takeout. The shop is renowned for its handcrafted Hong Kong-style desserts, with signature items including soft and chewy mango mochi, rich durian mochi, and smooth baked sago puddings. Car's Dessert has been honored with the "Signature Dish" food critic award and is well-loved by local patrons.
