Anh and Chi

A Vietnamese restaurant at 3388 Main Street in Vancouver, run by the Nguyen family. Ly and Hoang Nguyen arrived in Vancouver as refugees from Vietnam in 1980 and began selling pho they cooked at home, which grew into the Main Street noodle house Pho Hoang and served the neighbourhood for more than three decades. Their children Vincent and Amelie later reopened the room as Anh and Chi, a name meaning elder brother and sister of the same family. Dishes draw on chef Ly's childhood in her mother's Saigon cafe and on the family's return trips to Vietnam. The restaurant holds a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand.
