Aburi Hana

Aburi Hana, at 102 Yorkville Avenue in Toronto, is operated by Aburi Restaurants Canada. It held one MICHELIN Star from 2022 through the 2025 edition. The restaurant closed in fall 2025 for renovations after its head chef returned to Japan, and reopened on September 17, 2026 with a new concept inspired by the hanamachi districts of Edo-era Japan. The menu follows Japan's four seasons, pairing traditional ingredients and techniques with Canadian produce, and offers à la carte dishes and a seasonal tasting menu. It is led by culinary director Aiko Uchigoshi, head chef So Sakata and beverage director Troy Gilchrist.
